Beginning to understand...

that this isn't a vacation; that there's no point waiting for something to come along; this is it, I'm out in the world now and have to do something with my life; I have to stop being my parents' son and become an autonomous person; it feels - not that I didn't expect it - like I've been cast out from Cambridge into a big empty world, and I have no idea at all where to go from here.
