Just Pottering Along...

Just been watching three newly-appeared versions of the trailer for last year's HP3: available here, here, and here. Soundtracks are pretty cool, if nothing else; why not play them simultaneously in separate tabs for the full crazy effect?

It strikes me that in light of HBP, Cuarón's darker style is all the more appropriate, and Stephen Fry's comfortable Stephen-Fry-ness is even less appropriate than I already thought it for the audiobooks. Apparently he's created 165 different voices for the characters so far, but frankly what little I've heard of it still sounds like Stephen Fry doing a variety of different voices... and in my opinion nobody in the Potterverse sounds like that - at least, none of the major characters. Anyway, to help you make up your own mind, here's an article and extract. Incidentally, note the reference to **********'s 'huge' mistakes, which might be food for thought for those who disagree with my current position that ***** is evil. [Asterisks for no good reason, since anyone who hasn't read it by now deserves the spoilers...]
